1. PLAN AHEAD
The mistake most business owners make when writing a business plan is to rush the development of the document. Procrastination is the number one killer of a well developed business plan. You will not be able to develop a well thought-out document if you wait until the day before your meeting with the potential investors. Develop a plan before you need it and keep it up-to-date with regular reviews.

2. DO YOUR RESEARCH
Market research, business intelligence and SWOT analyses need to be performed if you want to be successful with your business plan. Be prepared to answer questions on how big your market is, who your target market is, what consumers are looking for when they are dealing with you, how much consumers are willing to pay for your product or service, and who else is offering similar products or services. The editors of the business plan may be a so overwhelming. Here is how to make that transaction a little easier.

1. Do not try to write the business plan in a day or even in a week. Break the task into smaller pieces beautiful and set a realistic timetable for completing those tasks. 30 days is a reasonable time. The market could be huge but you can reach only a small part at a time. Attacks that sector of the market where you have the best chance of success.

4th Spend quality time to draw up your business plan. Do put out until you are exhausted from all the other tasks in your day. If the morning is when you are raring to go at the designated hour each morning to prepare your business plan. Do not let interruptions in eating quell’un’ora. Put your answer on the phone, do not consider email, or run the Internet. You’ll be amazed what you can accomplish in quell’un’ora if you stay focused.
